I am a Philosophy PhD student, working on aesthetics.
Me interesan las formas en las que el discurso institucionalizado sobre las artes (crítica, historia del arte) disputa sus fronteras disciplinares y se integra en nuestra apreciación estética de las artes visuales.
I'm interested in the ways in which institutionalized discourse on visual arts (criticism, art history) dispute its disciplinary boundaries and integrate into our aesthetic appreciation of visual art.
Trabajo también sobre estética ambiental y controversias, preguntándome cómo se movilizan argumentos estéticos en contextos políticos.
I also work on environmental aesthetics and controversies, asking how aesthetic arguments are mobilized in political contexts (specifically in Uruguay).
Soy Ayudante en la Universidad de la República (Montevideo, Uruguay). Cursé la Licenciatura en Filosofía y la Maestría en Ciencias Humanas (perfil Filosofía Contemporánea) en la misma universidad.
I am a Teaching and Research Assistant at University of the Republic (Montevideo, Uruguay). I earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a Master's degree in the Human Sciences (with a focus on Contemporary Philosophy) from the same university.

Desde 2021, con mi amiga Agustina, nos mandamos cartas. Les llamamos “ensayos epistolares” y suelen tener alrededor de 500 palabras. La periodicidad del intercambio ha oscilado, pero el proyecto sigue activo.
Since 2021, my friend Agustina and I have been writing letters to each other. We call them “epistolary essays,” and they're usually around 500 words long. The frequency of our exchanges has varied, but the project is still ongoing.

Participo en los cursos Estética I y II y Tópicos Especiales de la Licenciatura en Filosofía de la FHCE. En esos cursos, he dado clases sobre la estética de Plotino, la teoría de la belleza funcional, definición y definibilidad del arte y teorías contemporáneas de la experiencia estética. También participo en los cursos Estética y Diseño I y II, así como de Problemas de Diseño, de la Licenciatura en Diseño de Comunicación Visual de la FADU. En esos cursos, he dado clases sobre conceptos básicos de estética y la teoría de la belleza funcional.
I joined the teaching staff for the courses Aesthetics I and II and Special Topics in the Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy at FHCE. In these courses, I have taught on Plotinus’s aesthetics, the theory of functional beauty, the definition and definability of art, and contemporary theories of aesthetic experience. I also teach in the Aesthetics and Design I and II courses, as well as the Problems in Design course, for the Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication Design at FADU. In these courses, I have taught classes on basic concepts of aesthetics and the theory of functional beauty.
Trabajo también en la Facultad de Psicología en Epistemología, un curso introductorio que recibe a más de dos mil estudiantes cada año. Realizo tareas de apoyo a la enseñanza (diseño de materiales didácticos, evaluaciones y mantenimiento del espacio virtual del curso).
I also work in the Faculty of Psychology on Epistemology, an introductory course that welcomes more than two thousand students each year. I perform teaching support tasks (designing instructional materials, assessments and maintaining the course’s online platform).
